This is a great tip. I recently experimented with a clients house (with their permission of course). They wanted to give a wider and taller feel to a particular window wall in the their home.

I'd seen someone do something similar and so I suggested a window roller blind that was designed with an extended length using a reinforced metal roller and then aluminium backed in order to help the blind keep its shape and not curl.

The blind was a natural stone colour with a pattern design and measured 4M across by a little over 2M high. It was a real gamble, which the client was prepared to take. The result was a huge blind, which when pulled created a gorgeous pattern framed by the wall background and stretched the room really well. Client loved it, although I've not had the opportunity to do it since.

This method also works on roof windows too and can create a completely different effect to the norm.

Very pretty - love the bench. Reminded me of the garden benches at Edith Wharton's in the Berkshires, but I just checked my photos and these Laura Spector benches are even prettier.
