A recent Homegoods survey has yielded some interesting results about Americans and home decor.

• 65% of women would rather shop for home furnishings than shoes.
• Only 20% of Americans feel happy with their home decor.  Fourteen percent say their home furnishings make them feel gloomy and stressed.
• Almost half of Americans have not updated their home decor in the past five years.
• As for style, 44% of homes are decorated in a Traditional style, 22% Modern, 13% Eclectic, 10% Country, and 2% Global.
