Shea-Durgin Halls, Bridgewater State University
Posted by srselby on Apr 29, 2011 in Commercial PortfolioThe rec room in the Shea-Durgin Halls dormitory complex at Bridgewater State University was designed with fun in mind. The rubber floor was custom-colored by Sheila Selby.
Mixing fabric patterns in the seats in one of the student lounges in Shea-Durgin works because the color palettes and pattern scale are similar in each fabric.
The study lounge in this college residential complex pulls the color from the upholstery in the adjacent lounge. An inexpensive idea for wall decor is to stretch colorful fabric over canvas stretchers, as seen on the far wall.
